Olu of Warri's Rep unfolds  strategy for sustained capacity development  of Itsekiri people

Sole Representative of The Olu of Warri,  Ogiame Atuwatse III and Liaison to NNPCL/ JV Partners, Prince Collins Oritsetimeyin Edema, says capacity development of Itsekiri people, would be advanced in 2026, through structured training programmes, targeted grants and continued support for small scale business owners.                            

Prince Edema, who made the disclosure in a " New Year Message" Thursday January 1, assured that the commitment to empowerment of Itsekiri people, remains resolute.                    According to the Warri Monarch's Aide, despite the prevailing economic challenges, Itsekiri people, have continued to demonstrate remarkable resilience.                                      

Prince Edema, asserted:  "As we welcome the New Year 2026, I extend my warm and sincere greetings to the Itsekiri Nation and reaffirm our collective hope for a more stable, prosperous, and united future.

Despite prevailing economic challenges, our people have continued to demonstrate remarkable resilience, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to progress. These enduring qualities remain central to our strength, identity, and shared destiny as a people.
 
"Our commitment to the empowerment of the Itsekiri people remains resolute. We will continue to advance initiatives focused on capacity development through structured training programmes, targeted grants, and sustained support for small-scale business owners. These interventions are designed to promote self-reliance, stimulate economic growth, and enhance livelihoods across our
 communities. 

"In this journey, we draw inspiration and guidance from the exemplary leadership of
 His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, whose wisdom, humility, and steadfast dedication to peace, unity, and cultural preservation continue to provide strong moral direction for
